Released by: Sgt. Nathan Garibay, Emergency Services Manager

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office has continued to coordinate with fire managers on the Milli Fire. After discussion with the incident management team, the Sisters Ranger District, and Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District; the Sheriff's Office has lowered evacuation levels around the Milli fire.

Current evacuation levels include:

Lowered from Level 2 to Level 1 - The subdivisions of Crossroads, Edgington/Remunda, Wildwing, Peterson Burn Road Area, and along both sides of Three Creeks Lake Road (FS 16) south of the Brooks Scanlon Logging Rd (FS 4606)

Remain at Level 1 - All areas between Hwy 20 and Hwy 242 west of the City of Sisters, which includes the subdivision of Tollgate and Black Butte Ranch. This area does not include the City of Sisters.

Level 1: Means "BE READY" for potential evacuation. Residents should be aware of the danger that exists in their area, monitor emergency services websites and local media outlets for information. This is the time for preparation and precautionary movements of persons with special needs, mobile property and (under certain circumstances) pets and livestock. If conditions worsen, emergency services personnel may contact you via an emergency notification system.

Current maps can be found at: https://arcg.is/D9OPi

This does not affect any area closures implemented by the Deschutes National Forest.

The Sheriff's Office appreciates the patience and support of the Sisters community.
